CHSS Signs an MoU with Rajiv Gandhi University for Knowledge Technologies, IIIT  - Basara

RGUKT IIIT Basara is a unique university which actively uses Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching. It is perhaps the first of its kind in the country with an educational model that is intensely ICT based.

The MoU between RGUKT - IIIT Basara and CHSS is to facilitate collaboration between the two institutes for academic, research and cultural activities including internships, fellowships, joint research programmes, collaborative seminar series, and round table discussions among other joint activities.

National Workshop On Evolving Strategies To Counter Domestic & Transnational VNSA’s

Centre for Human Security Studies in collaboration with SV University, Tirupati organized a National Workshop on evolving strategies to Counter Domestic and Transnational VNSAS at Senate Hall, SV University. The chief guests for his workshop were MV Krishna Rao IPS (Retd), Sri KC Reddy IPS (Retd), Smt. R Jaya Laxmi IPS, Sri Sridhar Rao IPS IGP, Sri Amit Garg IPS IGP.

All the speakers discussed the threat posed by VNSA’s and the various strategies that can be used in countering VNSA’s.

National Workshop – M974 - Safety And Security Of Critical Infrastructure Installations In Coastal Andhra Pradesh – Vizag

This workshop was jointly organized by CHSS and AP Police – Mission 974 kms “Safety and Security of Critical Infrastructure Installations in Coastal Andhra Pradesh” at GITAM University.

The main objective of the 2 days workshop is to bring together Key Stakeholders such as AP Police, Intelligence Community, Paramilitary forces, Defense forces, Academia, Public Intellectuals, Visakhapatnam port Trust, Vizag Steel Plant, KG Gas basin, HP oil Unit, Surya Lanka Air base, Sriharikota Rocket Launching Centre (SDSC) and assess the current preparedness of these Critical Installations so as to prepare well in advance for any unforeseen man-made & Natural Disasters.

The guests included representatives of the military, law enforcement, IAS and Academia. Senior Officers from Indian Navy & Indian Coast Guard delivered lectures. Participants included representatives from Police, Intelligence, Navy, Coast Guard and Research Scholars from Andhra University & GITAM University.

Workshop on Violent Non State Actors

This workshop was organized by CHSS in which more than 150 police officers & Intelligence officers interacted with subject experts from different parts of the country. After the completion of this 2 day workshop, Certificate of Participation was awarded to participants. Also, reading material titled “Decoding VNSA’s” was distributed by CHSS to all the participants. The workshop benefited the participants by raising awareness and improving knowledge of the threat of VNSA’s.

 

Panel Discussion On India’s Global Strategic Partnerships, Today And Tomorrow

On 29th Nov, 2019, CHSS held a panel discussion on India’s Global Strategic Partnerships - Today and Tomorrow in which participants discussed India’s relations with various important nations around the world and which nations are currently partners with India on various issues such as Economy, Defense and Trade. The participants included Interns, research scholars and academics. Dr. Ramesh Kanneganti, Founder and Director at CHSS, hosted and managed the discussion.
