CENTER FOR HUMAN SECURITY STUDIES (CHSS) MoU with VELLORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY - VIT AP SCHOOL OF LAW 

Memorandum Of Understanding (MoU) was signed between VIT-AP University and the Center for Human Security Studies (CHSS), on Cyber Security. Sri Ch.Dwaraka Tirumala Rao IPS, Director General of Police (Railways) AP, has attended the event as chief guest. He spoke on the importance of this collaboration in contributing to National Security. He pointed on the common values and ideas both the signatories share to protect the nations from threats relating to cyber security, health security, coastal security, and internal security of India. He mentioned how threats in these areas have need to be dealt with clear policy and legal aspects.

Dr. S. V. Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University, in his address highlighted functioning strategies of the University towards empowerment and education. He advised the law students and faculty to contribute towards the efficient functioning of society. He mentioned that the University is looking forward to create a Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security and Law, with the strong support of the CHSS. The Vice-Chancellor conveyed that this center covers a multi-dimensional approach to provide solutions to society and is extremely vital.

It is appreciable that Universities like VIT AP are coming forward to collaborate with think tanks like CHSS. This step is crucial as it helps in taking a close observation of policies, governance, and administrative functions.

Dr. Kanneganti Ramesh Babu, Founder & Executive Director of the Center for Human Security Studies, conveyed gratitude and spoke about the future programs in terms of training and academic activities with students of VIT AP.
