Dr. Sanjeev Chopra, Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration (LBSNAA), visited MCR HRD campus, on 21 Jan 2021. Interns and staff of Center for Human Security Studies (CHSS), along with Dr. Kanneganti Ramesh Babu, had an interactive session with him. Dr, Chopra started his career as an IAS officer in the 1985 batch. His career is marked by a plethora of achievements. He has worked on international cooperation in agriculture and coordinated India's strategic direction for FAO, IFAD, WFP and, G20, and the World Economic Forum.
He is a formidable personality, and has a way with words. It was a multi-faceted discussion with topics ranging from core competence, excelling with limited sources, contemporary politics and philosophy in Ramayana and Mahabharata.
He talked about 3 C's - ‘Collaborate, Co-operate, Compete’ eliciting a response on interaction between humans and society. He provided insights and gave inputs to the interns. They benefited from his charismatic personality- his humbleness, his clarity of speech, and his presence of mind.
